If you feel chest discomfort, chest heaviness, any uneasy feeling in chest or upper abdomen or jaw, or, frank chest pain, rush to doctor or any hospital emergency department and do one ECG. This simple test can tell a lot. Usually we can pick up the diagnosis of heart attack from your ECG and depending on that we can prescribe further tests as echocardiography, trop T to clinch the diagnosis or for finer evaluation. If this is a heart attack, we usually go for coronary angiography and angioplasty immediately. If this is a case of chronic coronary syndrome, we prescribe medical therapy first and if your trouble is not solved, then we go for CAG and further stratify treatment.
