Pacemaker clinic
If a patient presents with recurrent blackouts, dizzy spells, reeling sensation in head, we go for ecg and holter and if specific rythm abnormality is picked up, we go for pacemaker implantation. usually it takes 1 hour implantation time. Complication rates are very low, but some serious complications may happen and those are usually taken care of smoothly. Patients get discharged in one or two days with close follow up for stitch cutting after 7 days. Usually no life style restrictions are required post pacemaker.
